Opera introspettiva che analizza il passato e il futuro attraverso due elementi significativi. La pigna siciliana rimanda alle radici, ad un passato ai ricordi che ognuno di noi porta con se e che condizionano il nostro presente ed inevitabilmente il nostro futuro. L'elmo dello scafandro rappresenta il futuro o quanto meno il percorso che abbiamo tracciato e deciso di intraprendere. Chi volge sempre lo sguardo al passato rischia di entrare in una spirale depressiva mentre chi lo volge troppo al futuro rischia di paralizzarsi nell'ansia. Pierre Hadot sosteneva che il passato non dipende più da noi, in quanto definitivamente accertato, il futuro non dipende da noi, dal momento che non è ancora: ad entrambi dobbiamo essere indifferenti. Solo il presente dipende da noi, è l'unica cosa che può essere buono o cattivo, perché è l'unico che dipende dalla nostra volontà. Questa opera invita a riflettere sulla propria esistenza e sul vivere il presente.

Introspective work that analyzes the past and the future through two significant elements. The Sicilian pine cone refers to the roots, to a past to the memories that each of us carries with him and that condition our present and inevitably our future. The helmet of the diving suit represents the future or at least the path we have traced and decided to take. Those who always turn their gaze to the past risk entering into a depressive spiral while those who turn their gaze too far to the future risk paralyzing in anxiety. Pierre Hadot argued that the past no longer depends on us, as it is definitively ascertained, the future does not depend on us, since it is not yet: we must be indifferent to both. Only the present depends on us, it is the only thing that can be good or bad, because it is the only thing that depends on our will. This work invites you to reflect on your own existence and on living in the present.
